The Firkin – 1943 Queen St. East

A family friendly pub that has indulgent cheese bread, unlimited sports and good cold pints!

Papillion on the Park – 1001 Eastern Ave.

Tucked in the unlikely location of Easter Avenue, this new restaurant brings traditional French-Canadian cuisine to the Beach. Make sure you enjoy the rooftop patio in the summer.

Green Eggplant – 1968 Queen St. East

With an extensive menu, everyone will find something they love. Generous portions, signature Bellini’s and friendly staff make this a consistent favorite.

Brick Street Bakery – 1969 Queen St. East

Come with an empty stomach or a friend to share because the fresh-made sandwiches are bigger than any you’ve ever seen. Sumptuous soups, freshly baked bread and sweets complete the lunch.

Zane Bakery – 1852 Queen St. East

Arrive early if you hope to get one of their legendary ham and cheese croissants. Here you’ll find the perfect latte, delicate pastries and the best croissants for miles.

Vi Vetha

Anytime of day is a good time to visit this easternmost restaurant along Queen Street. Our favorite time is brunch where you get a massive portion with a twist on every dish as you enjoy the patio.

Remarkable Bean

This place is known for their savoury muffins – blue cheese and pear, red pepper and cream cheese, or broccoli and cheddar. Then move on to their wraps and amazing pies!

Shops
Bumbleberry Kids

Robin has created a cult in the Beach for moms and dads whose kids grow so fast they have clothes to spare and need to keep up with replacing them. Trade your kids old stuff for new. She only stocks the best brands of consignment clothes – newborn to size 8 as well as nice selection of baby gear.

Hooper’s Pharmacy

Trying to prevent a cold or sooth a teething baby? Hooper’s is a pharmacy and a great store for vitamins and supplements with extremely helpful staff.

Yoka

Check out Carla’s refreshing selection of clothes for guys and ladies…great quality lines like Ben Sherman and Anna Scott. Everyone will be asking where you got it.

Stack

If your looking for a great housewarming gift for the practical people in your life, this store has a never ending selection of funky organizational items, tools and accessories.

Rowe Farms – 2126 Queen Street East

Stock up on tasty organic, locally grown, conscientiously farmed meats. And if you don’t feel like cooking from scratch, check out their selection of pre-marinated meats and great selection of pre-made foods. Skip the grocery store entirely as they have a good selection of dairy and fresh vegetables as well.

Ivory Parade

When you can’t stand another cheesy greeting card, come here. Cheeky, hilarious and sometimes questionable, their selection of cards are also beautiful. A great place for gifts and wrapping as well.

Life is Sweet

Who doesn’t like a cupcake? Especially when they look as good as these ones. No more home baking for you. Look like a star and keep your kitchen clean.

Beach Mac Store

Avoid the cattle run at the Eaton Center and find out what it’s like to buy a piece of technology and actually have the store owner help you learn how to use it. Myles makes sure you get the most out of your mac.

Midoco

For every art supply for young and old, we always find great things to spur our creativity and office efficiency at Midoco. If you have a birthday present to buy for a child, work on a masterpiece or just buy some new highlighters,

If you are the DIY type, talk to Russ. He’ll make sure you prime before you paint and has a great selection of sample boards and paint quarts so you can be sure before you begin.
